Syarpu Power Company Limited (SPCL) was established in 2075 B.S. through the approval of a Cabinet of Nepal Government and promoted by the local governments of the Rukum (west) district of Nepal. The Head office of the company is located in Musikot Municipality ward no. 01, Rukum (west) with the contact office at Bakhundole-1, Lalitpur.
SPCL is constructing Syarpu Sana Jalabidhyut Aayojana (3.3 MW), the first local government-led and promoted power project in Nepal. The primary objective of the company is surveying, construction, operation, and management of Syarpu Sana Jalabidhyut Aayojana.The company is aiming at the construction, generation, transmission, and sale of energy from the small, medium, and large hydroelectric projects at the rivers of Karnali Province to contribute to the energy sector in Nepal.
The SPCL has established the Syarpu Krishi Company Limited as a subsidiary company in 2077 B.S. The project is establishing a dairy industry for the manufacture of milk and milk products in the Rukum (West) district. It is planning to collect about 40,000 liters of milk per day and move on to product differentiation for national and international marketing.
